Hand Hewn Beams
Reclaimed Wood
Hand Hewn Beams were fallen logs that were hewn into shape using a broad ax. The axes were known as an ‘adze’, which is why we call them hand hewn. Before circular saws using an ax was the only way to shape your beams. The character of the rural past comes to life with these beautiful reclaimed hand hewn beams.
